Message from the President of Young Elephants Football Club (YEFC):
Dear Members, Supporters, and Friends of Young Elephants Football Club,
It is with great pride and gratitude that I address you today as we reflect on the incredible journey of our beloved club. What began in 2011 as Patira United Straight Talk Club, under the support of Straight Talk Foundation’s Keep It Real project, has grown into a beacon of hope and opportunity for young people in our community.

Our mission has always been clear: to provide a safe space for young people, especially those who have faced challenges such as dropping out of school or battling depression. Through football, we have not only nurtured talent but also restored hope, built resilience, and fostered a sense of belonging among our members.
Over the years, we have proudly participated in numerous tournaments, including the Purongo Talent Cup, Super Cup, and the Total E&P Mini League, showcasing the determination and skill of our players. These achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in this club.
In 2017, we took a significant step forward by renaming our club to Young Elephants Football Club (YEFC). This change symbolized our growth, strength, and unity as a team. Just like the mighty elephant, we strive to be strong, resilient, and supportive of one another.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to our core values of empowering young people, promoting mental well-being, and using sports as a tool for positive change. We are grateful to our partners, supporters, and the entire community for standing with us on this journey.
Together, let us continue to inspire, uplift, and achieve greatness both on and off the field.
